David Schmidt: I have been doing research and education at the University since 1992 in a variety of areas that include biogas production, geothermal heating and cooling, and biomass logistics. When I am not teaching this course or doing other University work, I can be found in the garden, doing yoga, playing guitar, or hanging out with my wife and our four perfect adult children (ages 26-32) or my grandbaby June :)
But I could never teach this class on my own. Each semester I employ several of your peers to help grade assignments and edit or modify the lessons. They provide continuous feedback that helps to keep this class relevant and fun. Thank you TA's!

Passionate professor. Out of all the Professors I've had David is by far the most passionate Professor about his course. David is very engaging and eager to interact with students and engage in conversation about topics relevant to the course.
