Instructors

All of the instructors of BBE1201 have two things in common. We love teaching, and we are passionate about energy! We combine our efforts to keep all of the lessons current and meaningful. We divide and conquer as we respond individually to each student on the lesson reflections, project submission and final paper, along with our TA's. For course content we really heavily on experts throughout the University and from relevant industries. These experts provide allow us to provide the most current and critical information to the students.

David

David Schmidt: I have been doing research and education at the University since 1992 in a variety of areas that include biogas production, geothermal heating and cooling, and biomass logistics. When I am not teaching this course or doing other University work, I can be found in the garden, doing yoga, playing guitar, or hanging out with my wife and our four perfect children (ages 16-24).

Cindy

Cindy McComas: I'm an adjunct professor in BBE and my background is environmental engineering, pollution prevention, and energy efficiency. My hobbies are gardening, walking, yoga, drawing, and painting. Look forward to getting to know you!
